FAM TRIPS 2025
Educational or "fam' trips are an essential tool for building product knowledge. As a result Tanzania Tourism UK supports a host of fam trips across the year and across the whole of Tanzania and Zanzibar.
We encourage travel professionals to visit our attractions for themselves in order to better sell them to your clients. Please see the criteria for inclusion, detailed below.

FAM TRIPS ORGANISED BY TATO
The Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) has released details of their extensive fam trip programme to Northern Tanzania for the latter part of 2024. These trips are not organised by Tanzania Tourism UK and you should contact TATO direct.
From a UK perspective, we believe these trips are ideal for those newer to Tanzania. The focus here is upon experiencing various key locations within the Northern circuit, and less upon visiting properties.

Hot lunch followed by an afternoon visit to an African Art Gallery. Transfer to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight in the Manyara area on a full-board basis.
Day 04: Climb the Rift Valley Escarpment to the Serengeti
After breakfast, travel by road to Serengeti National Park. Stop at the viewpoint in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to take in the breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater. Then, explore the Olduvai Gorge Museum, offering insights into the origins of humanity and the mysteries of our evolutionary past. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Naabi Kopjes. Embark on game drives in Serengeti National Park, keeping an eye out for the Serengeti Great Migration, an annual natural phenomenon where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores migrate across the Serengeti ecosystem in pursuit of fresh grazing grounds, closely followed by predators. Transfer to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti on a full-board basis.
Day 05: Discover Serengeti National Park
Game drives in Serengeti National Park provide the opportunity to witness the vast, endless plains teeming with enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra during migration.
