Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape, is an invitation to re-wild your soul. An intimate safari retreat set in the untouched nature of Ruaha National Park. Our collection of one to three-bedroom villas redefines the meaning of escape. The villas sit naturally within the landscape, with open layouts for a closer connection with nature. Artisan-crafted, the villas are inspired by Maasai vernacular architecture and the flowing curves of the river. Organic shapes, natural materials, and bespoke furniture hand-carved by local artisans feel both authentic and contemporary, while private infinity pools and viewing decks draw you deeper into the rhythm of the land.

1 Bedroom Villa
A private 245 sqm escape at the water’s edge, designed for couples or solo travellers. Wake up to the golden light of sunrise from your king-sized bed.
Start your day with a refreshing outdoor shower and relax on one of two scenic decks, watching animals wander by.
As the day comes to a close, cool off in your plunge pool with a stunning view of the sunset over the river. Inside, the open-plan living and dining area sets the tone for long, relaxed evenings, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

A spacious 350 sqm villa, designed for families or friends travelling together. Two king-sized bedrooms are set apart for privacy, both oriented to capture the sunrise over the savannah.
