Lemala Osonjoi Lodge will open its doors to guests in July 2025 and will be the newest addition to the Lemala portfolio and complete our enviable circuit of tented camps and lodges.
Situated on a hill just back from the Ngorongoro Crater rim, Lemala Osonjoi is named after the Osonjoi trees, which hold both symbolic and medicinal significance for the Maasai. Chosen by the Lemala staff, we are proud to use a name that symbolizes the multiple benefits we aim to bring to the land and people of East Africa—a core principle of everything Lemala stands for.
We’ve reunited the exceptional team of architects, designers, site managers, and construction professionals who delivered Lemala Mpingo Ridge and Nanyukie Lodges in 2018. Their designers explored the local markets of East Africa to collaborate with small-scale manufacturers and artisans, ensuring that Osonjoi embodies the authentic spirit of East Africa. This also allows Lemala to ensure that a significant portion of their investment benefits the local economy.
