Southern Sun has reopened its Dar es Salaam hotel following an extensive refurbishment. The hotel, located in the heart of the capital's business district, has undergone significant upgrades including enhanced HVAC and IT systems, improved pool areas with intricate mosaic work, and a redesigned colour scheme throughout.
A new Baraza Café, Grill & Bar showcases Tanzanian cuisine, specialising in seafood and grilled dishes.
"The market in Tanzania is showing strong economic indicators, making it an ideal time to reopen and offer our signature hospitality once more," said Lynton Delaney, Offshore Operations Director at Southern Sun.
The property's location near botanical gardens, government offices and the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre makes it particularly attractive to business and diplomatic travellers. Its proximity to both the international airport and the new SGR railway line to Dodoma adds to its accessibility.
General Manager Bruce Chapman said: "Southern Sun Dar es Salaam is more than just a place to stay; it's a space for guests to connect, relax, and engage while experiencing authentic Tanzanian charm."
