Emphasising their increase in marketing activity, Tanzania Tourist Board has joined ATTA, (Africa Travel & Tourism Association).
ATTA serves and supports businesses in African and the Indian Ocean islands representing buyers and suppliers across 31 African countries. With over 800 members ATTA acts as Pan-Africa's largest network of tourism products covering not only accommodation, transport and travel experts in Africa, but also a formidable selection of tour operators, representation and PR companies worldwide promoting tourism to Africa.
Ephraim Mafuru, Director General of the Tanzania Tourism Board stated "This move signifies how Tanzania is ramping up its activity in source markets across the globe".
TTB has tasked Tim Henshall, (Head of Tourism Marketing in the UK) with coordinating the partnership with ATTA. Tim added, " We are looking to promote both Tanzania and Zanzibar far more to the trade, to the media and ultimately, to the general public, too. ATTA can play an invaluable role in that process"
He emphasised that Tanzania has plenty of stories to tell, as well as countless new initiatives designed to increase trade knowledge, enthusiasm and sales!
